Minteq offers a full line of monolithic refractory maintenance materials for sidewalls, hotspots, slaglines, banks, bottoms, breasts, tapholes, and runners. We also offer pre-cast shapes for deltas, runners, and breast blocks. Our goal is to provide the most durable refractory materials available.


Minteq has invested heavily in application equipment. We believe product performance is greatly enhanced by robust, consistent application equipment. The MINSCAN® refractory application equipment was developed specifically for the Electric Furnace producers. The MINSCAN® has been highly reliable, and our best in class gunning nozzles continue to separate us from our competition.
When the MINSCAN® was combined with our FERROTRON™ laser distance measurement systems, SCANTROL™ was born. This patented system provides the ultimate in operational efficiency and cost control for the Electric Furnace shop.
Our steel mill service personnel provide an added advantage. We are committed to our people, and to providing the best service available to our customers. In many cases our on-site work force is integrated into the steel making process. Our technology allows us to become a key part of the refractory management system to control inventory, provide performance analysis, and to lower the variable cost per ton of steel.
