Cast and Pressed shapes for BOF
Minteq is positioned to meet all of the steel-maker’s Basic Oxygen Furnace (BOF) refractory needs. In addition to our refractory maintenance systems, we provide selected pre-cast shapes commonly required for safe, economical steel production, including:
- Slag darts – for controlling slag-carryover and optimizing yield
- Tap hole sleeves
- Tap hole blocks – for maintaining the integrity of the tap hole system over many thousands of heats.
