The LaCam^® M 007 laser profile measurement system is used for non-contact scanning of refractory lining in metallurgic reaction and transport vessels.  Laser systems are primarily used in converters, EAF, torpedo ladle and steel casting ladles. Special applications of laser based profile measurements have been implemented in varied aggregates used in the steel industry.

The measurement values detected by laser scanners permit early and effective patching of defective locations and increase the working life of refractory lining. Refractory costs are reduced and operating safety is increased. The product assortment ranges from mobile to stationary measurement systems. By continuing to develop the laser technology as well as the operating and analysis software, FERROTRON laser profile measurement technology is now one of the world's market leaders.

Compared to our previous devices, the LaCam^® M 007 system enables much shorter duration of measurements. This is an essential improvement of the production process in steel plants. If requested, a measurement can be made within seconds after each tapping. The LaCam^® M 007 system is built into a sturdy mobile housing, so that a fast changing of the location is possible. It is easier to maintain due to the modular setup.

Scantrol^® Control Module
Our LaCam^® laser-based profile measuring system as well as the MINSCAN^® robotic maintenance equipment for electric arc furnaces and other Minteq manipulators for vessels, ladles, etc., have substantially improved the refractory maintenance of metallurgical vessels. Our new Scantrol^® control module now combines these measuring and maintenance units to provide you with a fully automated process that is more accurate, rapid and safe than conventional refractory maintenance practices.

 
LaCam^® Forge Measuring System
This is a new and innovative measuring system for Open Die Forging shops.
