Laser profile measurement technology
Ferrotron’s laser profile measurement systems are used for non-contact scanning of refractory lining in metallurgic reaction and transport vessels. Laser systems are primarily used in converters, electric arc furnaces, steel casting ladles, or open die forging shops. The measurement values detected by laser scanners permit early and effective patching of defective locations and increase the working life of the refractory lining.


Laser distance and speed measurement technology
Measuring instruments of the LD 90-3 series operate according to the proven principle of optical pulse-propagation time measurement. Depending on the target surfaces, distances are measured up to 1.000m with accuracies in the mm range. Objects with surface temperatures of up to 1700° C can be surveyed with precision and reliability.

Today, expendable immersion measurement probes for the detection of molten bath temperatures and the activity of oxygen are indispensable for metal-producing industries.
